Digital Art Trends In 2023

In 2023, the art world is likely to be shaped by a wide variety of trends. The most prominent of these will be the ever-growing focus on digital art, as technology progresses and continues to offer new ways for artists to create and share their work such as NFT’s, Non Fungible Tokens.

We will also see a continued rise of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) in the art space, and the use of 3D printing and other cutting-edge technologies. Artists will increasingly explore the concept of “networked art,” creating works that are based on digital networks and can be experienced remotely.

In addition, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in creating art will become more widespread, with AI being used to generate images and other forms of art. This may generate legal issues in the future regarding copyright since the images appear to come from anywhere on the web disregarding any copyrights at the time of writing this article.

In terms of the physical realm, art trends in 2023 are likely to continue focusing on environmentalism and sustainability. At CodaCo we are always trying to adopt better use of hardware, software and hosting as well as providing sustainable methods of producing high quality products. It’s why we’ve adopted printing on demand business model rather then bulk printing and storing.

We think visual and 3D artists will develop works that reflect their concerns over the climate crisis, while also exploring the potential of 3D printing and other technologies to produce works also more sustainably.

Finally, the use of social media and other online platforms as a means to reach audiences and promote art exhibitions, NFT drops and artwork will remain a key trend in 2023. Artists will continue to find ways to use these platforms to reach wider audiences and build their fan base.
